Internet Marketing for Small Businesses: The Purpose of a Website
Many small to medium sized business owners create beautiful websites that look like works of art... however they fail at all the major purposes that a website even exists.
Let's recap what your website is supposed to do and why:
24/7 sales person - if you website isn't selling for you constantly then your website isn't working. You must always be have a reason why your website exists and what each page is meant to do. It should be selling for you all the time and bringing in leads and new customers.
Make a strong call-to-action - You need to make an offer on your website... and make one all over the place. Just having a phone number is not enough. You must have a reason why the suspect on your site needs to take action now!
State a guarantee - Don't be afraid to make a guarantee on your services. You know you provide great services or products and if you believe in what you do then having a guarantee will be on big deal. The greatest thing about using a guarantee is the fact that it will really help to boost your conversion rate.
These are only three things that you website must do, but there are many more. Make sure you subscribe to Washout Marketings RSS feed so you can be the first to know when we make updates to the site and post new videos. Make sure you also go and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
